Making Dental Visits a Family Affair

Making Dental Visits a Family Affair

Going to the dentist can be stressful for kids and adults alike. But what if you made dental visits a fun family experience? At Kalm Dental Care, we welcome families to come in together for their check-ups and cleanings. Here are some tips for making your next dental appointment a bonding experience for the whole crew:

Prepare Together

A little preparation goes a long way in easing dental anxiety. A few days before the appointment, sit down with your kids and read a book about going to the dentist. There are lots of great children’s books that explain what happens at a dental visit in a friendly, non-scary way. You can also role play with a stuffed animal so they know what to expect.

Appointment schedule

Schedule Back-to-Back Appointments

To make things easier, schedule your family’s appointments back-to-back or at the same time if you have multiple kids. Our team will do our best to accommodate your needs. This way, you only have to make the trip to our office once, and your kids can keep each other company in the waiting room with books, games, and toys we provide.

Lead By Example

If you get anxious about dental visits yourself, your kids will likely pick up on that energy. Do your best to stay positive and upbeat. If you act like going to the dentist is no big deal, your children will start to feel the same way. We’ll do everything we can to make you all feel comfortable and at ease.

At Kalm Dental Care, we truly are a family practice that welcomes patients of all ages. We’ll give you and your kids the personal, gentle care you deserve. Schedule your family’s next visit today!
